Modular Synth Basics Tutorial series by The Tuesday Night Machines

Felix, known for his earlier Eurorack videos and perhaps better known as 'The Tuesday Night Machines' has started a completely new video series.
The first videos in his "Modular Synth Basics" series, show what a Eurorack Modular Synthesizer is and tells all about the basic control signals.

Modular Synth Basics #01: What's a modular synth?

" What is a modular synthesizer? What is the Eurorack format? Subscribe for more videos

Modular Synth Basics #02: CV, Gate, Trigger & MIDI

" What are Control Voltages/CV, Gate Signals, Triggers and MIDI data? You'll need (almost) all of them to control your Eurorack modular synthesizer! Subscribe for more videos:

Modular Synth Basics #03: How to start?

" Some thoughts on how to start building a Eurorack modular synth system? Subscribe for more videos "

Modular Synth Basics #04: Simple Synth Voice Patch

" Our first patch! A simple synth voice, like in a non-modular synthesizer. EXPAND FOR MORE INFOS and subscribe for more videos "

Questions or comments? Go ahead and post them below! :) Thanks for watching!

Modular Synth Basics #05: Attenuators, Polarizers & Offsets

"... and a little bit about AC coupling & DC coupling. Subscribe for more videos:"

Modular Synth Basics #06: Powering a Eurorack System

" How many Eurorack modules can you connect to a power supply? What are the pins on a bus board? Watch for the answers and more and subscribe for more videos "

Modular Synth Basics #07: Blind Panels

" What do you do with holes in your modular synth case? Blind Panels! Subscribe for more videos "

Modular Synth Basics #08: Multiples

" Multiples let you copy signals, so that you can use them more than once in your modular synth. Subscribe for more videos "

Modular Synth Basics #09: linear & exponential

" Why do we differentiate between Audio and CV mixers, and what are linear VCAs and exponential VCAs? Watch to find out and subscribe for more videos"

Modular Synth Basics #10: Clocks & Sequencers
)
" What is a Clock signal and what do we use it for? Watch to find out and subscribe for more videos"

Modular Synth Basics #11: Self-playing synth voice patch (with Sample & Hold)

" Continuing with the simple synth voice patch from before. EXPAND FOR MORE INFOS and subscribe for more videos:"

Modular Synth Basics #12: Envelopes & Function Generators

" Envelope Generators and Function Generators create CV signals which change over time. They are often more complex than LFOs and really useful for plenty of occasions."

Modular Synth Basics #13: VCAs
" VCAs are voltage controlled attenuators or amplifiers, which are a very important part in a synthesizer. You might have heard people say "You can't have enough VCAs" and they're quite right. "
